Brett Littman (B.A., Philosophy, UC San Diego) is currently the Deputy Director at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, a MoMA affiliate and was the Managing Director of wps1.org, P.S.1’s internet radio station from 2003 - 2004. From 2001 – 2003 he was the Co-Executive Director of Dieu Donné Papermill in SoHo, New York. From 1995 - 2001 he was the Associate Director of UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, New York and was co-chair of the Glass Art Society's 2000: Bridge to the Future an international conference that was held in New York in June 2000. Littman is also an active art/design critic, is a member of AICA/USA (International Art Critic Association) and has written for GLASS Quarterly, American Ceramics, Craft Arts, Object, Sculpture, *surface, modo, Art on Paper, Pulp and the East Hampton Star. Littman has curated several exhibitions including: the UrbanGlass booth at SOFA Chicago and NYC, Glass Cultures, a site specific installation at the Federal Courthouse in Brooklyn Heights; Millennium Marbles at the Grand Army Plaza Arch Gallery in Park Slope; Paper and Glass at the Lizan Tops Gallery in East Hampton, NY and Civic Matters, a workshop at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions in January 2006. He was a Brooklyn Arts Council Advisory Board Member and was Chair of the Brooklyn Arts Council Visual Arts panel from 1995 - 1998. He has lectured internationally and has received grants from the American Scandinavian Foundation and IASPIS’s Craft in Dialogue project to present lectures in major museums and art schools in Sweden. He has acted as a development consultant to several New York based performance art groups including: j.mandle performance and Sham Moser's Hybridium and was a board member of the B Team. Littman also co-directed and co-produced "Puro Party: Celebrating a Genocide" for Deep Dish TV in 1992 and was associate producer of "Pretty Vacant," an independent 16mm film by Jimmy Mediola.
